The year of Showers of Mercy

Mercy is not something God gives reluctantly. It is who He is. When we call 2026 Our Year of Showers of Mercy, we are not asking God to become merciful — we are learning to stand where His mercy is already falling.

Mercy meets us before we deserve it

The Scriptures never present mercy as a reward for the deserving. It is the deliberate kindness of God toward people who have nothing to offer in exchange.

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not." — Lamentations 3:22

Three ways to stand under the shower

1. Stay in the Word. Mercy is understood before it is enjoyed. The Sunday Bible Class exists for exactly this.
2. Stay in fellowship. Mercy is carried between believers — we care for the body members, one for another.
3. Stay in prayer. Faith for Liberation every Friday is where many of us first learned to ask boldly.

This year, do not merely hope for mercy. Live under it.
